Two years ago Lydia Ruth was born.
Lydia means Strong, and Ruth means Friend. We named her such because we wanted her to be a strong friend for Kara who often jumps into things without thinking. The name has held very true.
Yet Lydia has been such a blessing and a joy. She is also very active.
She loves to run around the house, and the only time you can find her sitting still is if she is eating or reading a book.
Lydia is totally a girly girl. She loves to put on necklaces, bracelets, rings. She is always wrapping a scarf around her neck or putting on shawls. She is often dragging around purses and putting on shoes.
Another thing Lydia loves to do is swing. If you are outside with her she constantly will ask you to push her on the swing.

Thanks for sharing your rationale behind Lydia's name. We always say that having children is like giving gifts to the other children. I didn't say that well, but what I mean is siblings will always have each other and be lifelong friends. What a precious thing!
So much of Lydia's description sounds like my Chloe. Must be the age similarity.
What do you have planned for Lydia's bday?
happy birthday lydia! (even though we've never met you yet!) i think my favorite picture is ja holding her. how precious!
Happy Birthday Lydia!!!
We love you guys and miss you. We just returned from St. Vincent with the teens. It was a great trip and we are trying to recover right now. We will post soon.

Happy Birthday Lydia. I remember her baby pics so well. She's growing so fast. Funny about the conversion to the Steelers, but it makes Brent happy :)
What a beautiful picture of Lydia and JA! I absolutely love it!
