I must confess . . . I love peanut butter. In fact, I love peanut butter so much that I have inflicted my children with peanut butter sandwiches. My true confession is that today I fed Lydia (9 months) a peanut butter sandwich for lunch. I don't know why I am not willing to obey the American Pediatric Association in their recommendation to not feed children peanuts or peanut butter until they are about 2 (peanut butter) or 3 (peanuts). Kara is two and loves peanuts also.
The reason I post this confession is because I am very curious. How old were your children when you first fed them peanut butter? What is your favorite brand of peanut butter?

I guess I never read the pediatric recommendation, and my dr. never told me that, so Luke's been eating PB for a long time. I don't remember if he did before 1 year, probably on toast. And, he has peanuts some time too.
Hey, Peanut butter, is the best! especially in milk shakes!! lol it is the mom in me! Guess what...2 more days of school left of my Sophmore yr. then i am a Junior (finally) but the sad thing is I no longer have a 4.0 because of English II last semester! I just thought i would leave you a comment just to say hi like usual...I haven't talked to you in a long time! Thanks for the prayers.
Love Skinnygirl!
Oh, Erica liked your gratulation pics you have up, and she said that Lydia is growing like a weed! TTYL
I gave my kids pb around 10 mo. They love it! I know Tami Bennett gives Anthony (1) peanuts too. SOOO, rest assured, the they'll be fine :) She looks happy!!
Thanks Katie and Carissa. I wouldn't give them peanut butter if we had any family history of food allergies. Peanut butter sandwiches make a great lunch. I'm glad to know that others also give their children PB early.
